Privacy Notice for theworkers.co
This notice covers the theworkers.co website only. Each of our apps has its own privacy policy, linked from the app’s page on this site. The site is run by theworkers.co, Istanbul, Türkiye. You can reach us at [email protected].
1. What we measure
We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to count visits and see how the site is used. For each visit it records:
- the pages you view and the page you came from;
- clicks on links and buttons, including App Store and Google Play links;
- your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language;
- your approximate location (country, region and city), which PostHog estimates from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored.
2. No cookies, no profile
The site sets no analytics cookies and stores no identifier on your device, so each visit is counted on its own. We do not identify you, build a profile of you, record your screen, or follow you across other websites. There is no advertising on this site.
One thing is stored in your browser: if you switch between the dark and light theme, your choice is kept in local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.
3. Hosting
The site is delivered by Cloudflare and stored on Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt. Like any web server, they process your IP address and your request to deliver the page and to protect the site from attacks.
4. Who receives the data
PostHog for analytics, and Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services to deliver the site. We do not sell data and do not share it with advertisers. PostHog and Amazon Web Services keep the data in the European Union; Cloudflare serves the site from its global network. This means the data is processed outside Türkiye.
5. Why we do this
We measure visits because we have a legitimate interest in knowing which pages people read and whether the site is working. We keep the measurement to what is listed above.
6. How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept in PostHog for as long as we need it to understand how the site is used, and no longer than the law allows.
7. Your choices and rights
You can block analytics with a content blocker; the site works the same. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR and Türkiye’s KVKK give you rights over your data, such as access and deletion. Because we do not identify visitors, we usually cannot link analytics events to a person, but write to us and we will help as far as we can.
8. Changes
If we change how the site measures visits, we will update this notice and the date at the top of this page.
